5AM did much better than I thought they would in the final.

Shocked that Emily didn't destroy everyone in the voting in week 4

The duet with Nicole turned it around. It was clear to see. Otherwise, he was probably third.

Disgusting how people voted for Nicole when she was not a contestant

I KNEW Ryan would have beaten Honey G in the vote when he went. Also Matt was 0.9% from being bottom 2 a week earlier.
Saara staying top 2 after week 5's sing-off

Some fascinating results here, particularly that Saara and Ryan were never actually bottom two in the bottom three.
The vote freeze sucks but I called it Also find it interesting that it was actually Matt and 5AM (and not Emily) leading the way for the first half. She should've reprised The Winner Takes It All, giving Matt the song that's on the John Lewis advert to sing for no reason at all is one hell of a ****ing pimping, and I expect he picked up 5AM's votes and also casual voters. |

I wonder if Saara would've won if they froze the votes after Saturday's show and then reopened them after the 4 performances tonight ended

I would like the time stamp on when Matt took the lead in the finale vote.

Probably within 20 minutes of them being reopened. I think it was just a case of more 5am fans preferring Matt

I also think Saturday's percentages overall are fascinating, they're all within a few percent of each other. Usually the 3rd placer is floating around 15% are they not?
Just makes you wonder what a better duet than Clean Bandit might've done for them, and whether Matt's votes would then subsequently have gone to 5AM, or whether Saara would've been in prime position to take the title. What an interesting series to analyse |
