Default McCall finally has a bawl

Quote:
BIG Brother host Davina McCall finally snapped last night and slammed Gerry and Chanelle’s antics on the show.

She said that Gerry RUINED the Guru twist on Friday night.

And she blasted Posh wannabe Chanelle’s decision to quit. Davina started her rant by saying that Gerry should not have ordered housemates to drop him just as the twins were about to choose who got the chop.

She seethed: “I was a bit annoyed with Gerry because he took the decision away from the twins. I was looking forward to that dilemma.”

And she was surprised he got a “massive cheer” from the crowd, saying: “I was thinking ‘he’s just going to get massively booed’.”

Davina also hit out at Chanelle, who walked after falling out with house lover Ziggy.

She said: “I think she could have resolved her issues with Ziggy. They could have split up and she could have been a great housemate. I enjoyed her tantrums.”

Davina, 39, also hinted that this year’s show had TOO MANY housemates — as her exit interviews will have to be cut short on next week’s final night to fit everyone in.

She said: “It’s a shame because we’ll have to get through loads of them. I’d especially like to talk to Carole.”

Davina, who admits she gets nervous on eviction nights, also said she enjoyed grilling Charley about why she lied to housemates over her fake eviction.

She said: “It was hilarious when Charley said to the housemates I had told her she was unique. I hadn’t said a word to her.

“That turned into ‘you’re amazing, you’re unique’ — but it was good, because in her real eviction interview I was able to pull her up on it.”

Her favourite moment of the series so far came when Ziggy came out dressed as a fairy and said “I’m free”.

She said: “We’d seen him so down previously, it was just lovely to see him being funny again.”

The full interview:

[quote]ibb: What's been your favourite moment of the series so far?

Davina: There've been a lot actually. When Ziggy came out dressed as a fairy and said "I'm free". We'd seen him so down previously it was just lovely to see him being funny again. And I loved the twins being telepathic with the colanders on their heads. They actually did believe the colanders were doing something, which was hilarious. There have been millions of them, it's been quite a funny Big Brother I think.

ibb: Describe how you feel on Fridays before the live eviction?

I always feel nervous. I've only had one show were I couldn't get my head in gear. I just couldn't speak! But generally my excitement helps clear my head. I feel that normal nerves are a good thing, and make me focus.

ibb: At whose eviction were you most surprised by the crowd's reaction?

Interestingly Gerry's. I was thinking he's just going to get massively booed and he got a massive cheer. I felt a little bit like the crowd; it was someone who had been in my life for 10 weeks, it was exciting.

ibb: What do you say to housemates in those minutes before their interview?

Generally I just keep it kind of light. I try and read the person's feelings; if they seem down, I'll put my arm around them and say 'come on, you were a great housemate'.

I mean even the worst housemates have still been good. Even the people that don't entertain us as much as others, can be catalysts for conversations or whatever.

I was a bit annoyed with Gerry on Friday because he took the decision away from the twins and I was looking forward to them having that dilemma.

ibb: How weird did it feel on the night of the fake eviction?

It was odd but exciting. Charley was such a perfect housemate to do it with and she was so funny. It was really odd giving out all these bowler hats to the audience and getting them to play along. I really enjoyed it.

ibb: What did you make of Charley exaggerating so much of your interview after her fake eviction?

It was hilarious when Charley said to the housemates I had told her she was unique. I literally hadn't said one word to her because I'd been given a line to say. That turned into 'you're amazing, you're unique' (laughs) but it was good because in her real eviction interview I was able to pull her up on it.

ibb: Who's been the most revealing housemate to interview so far?

Charley was quite a good interview because I did see another side to her. Gerry was really chatty. It's a shame on the last night because we'll have to get through loads of them and I'd especially like to talk to Carole.

ibb: What is the group dynamic this year? (eg. Carole is mum, twins are daughters etc)

It's been very matriarchal and the psychologist last night pointed out to me that Big Brother is the father - he's reprimanded the mother because of the food and the kids feel sorry for her. The housemates are now institutionalised; they're so compliant and they just do what they're told.

ibb: In previous series you've spoken of your disappointment in housemates who walk. What did you make of Chanelle's departure?

I think she could've resolved her issues with Ziggy. They could've split up and she could've been a great housemate. I enjoyed her tantrums, I enjoyed watching her. I'm sure she's not regretting it but my feeling is if you apply for the job, stick with it.

ibb: Do you think the twins counting as one housemate gives them an advantage or a disadvantage?

It's an advantage I think. The public would've found it hard to choose between them, though it's becoming clear now the differences. They've got each other's support in nominating and stuff, which can only be good for them.

ibb: What or who have you been most shocked by this year?

Brian I thought he was going to be too cool for school and he's so come out of his shell, a self-professed geek really. Jonty I thought I would find too odd but I really like him. On a bitchiness scale he doesn't even feature because he's incapable of bitchy.

ibb: Judi James recently told you to "never point at a psychologist" when you were interviewing her for 'Big Brother On The Couch'. What else have you learnt from the psychologists?

I've learnt never to point at anybody because it's very rude. There are a million other things. I've almost stopped moaning because it gets you absolutely nowhere. I've learnt a lot about anger and body language; that you absolutely can't hide your body language all the time. So I've been reading people. Yeah, watch it!

ibb: Have you ever had any Big Brother embarrassing moments?

I nearly had one a few weeks ago. I walked out of the main building in a flimsy dress and the wind flew up and revealed my thong, so I went straight back into the dressing room. We had six minutes before we went on air so I grabbed some trousers and managed to save the day. So I've been quite lucky and haven't had any really embarrassing stuff...yet.[/quote

So Is there Going To Be A Double Eviction This weekend To Get the Numbers Down For the Finale ???

I Think They Should Have a Double Evicion This Friday Then a Wednesday Mid-Week Eviction Next Week So There Will Be Only 4 In the Final (4 Because The Twins Are 1).

Then there Will Be Time For Good Interviews Instead Of Quick Ones
