Well it's obviously not the best term to use but in reality if you replace the word 'boy' with 'guy' the sentence takes on a whole different meaning, and that's how I assumed she meant it.

Reasons I see are nonsense because it seems people are ignoring the context. She was nice enough to everyone but Speidi who seemed to want to wind her up and it was probably edited too. This hypersensitivity to anything that isn't politically correct has been killing the show for a decade now. If you put 14 people in a house and film then some prejudices will be revealed, this is supposed to be a social experiment and society has prejudices. I wish the producers would keep their morally superior attitudes out of it. Unless someone is being singled out and bullied then there should be no interference.
