By JOHN TROUP - The Sun online
August 18, 2007 CAROLE Vincent’s family fear she will give all her £100,000 prize money to CHARITY if she wins the show. Daughter Ebony said Carole is tens of thousands of pounds in debt. But even when the caring protester does come into money she insists on giving it away to needier people. Ebony said: “It’s true — she’s broke. “But she’s so generous that she basically works for charity and even when she does earn money she still gives it away.” Carole, 53 — who has adopted more than 100 kids for various councils — got into debt in the mid-nineties when she set her heart on taking in three kids so that they would not be split up. She managed to rent a large property but it was in desperate need of repair and Carole was forced to borrow money to make the place habitable. Carole’s family claim social services said they would contribute but ended up putting in hardly any money after the adoptions fell though. Ebony, 27, said: “She took out a loan and bought a seven-seater car so she could run us all around. “She also had a new kitchen put in and moved the bathroom so it would be nearer the children’s room to make it easier for them. She did so much. “Eventually, for various reasons, it didn’t work out and the adoption broke down. So she was left in a lot of debt.” Carole has made sure all her bills are being paid by Ebony while she is in the house. She left her daughter with a long letter and all her bank cards explaining what had to be paid when she went off to join the Big Brother house. Ebony added: “I know she has told people who have been in the house that she is worried about falling into arrears and losing her home. “But she is always doing things for other people, never ever for herself. She is generous to a fault.” But the roly-poly housemate has a long way to go if she is to win the public’s affection. Bookies currently have her as the SIXTH favourite to win on odds of 50/1. She admitted viewers could get bored of her constant fretting over chores. Interviewed by Ziggy for the weekly Big Brother podcast yesterday, she said: “I’ve learned that I need to do less of the domestics and more of the ‘avin it!” Ziggy then asked her: “If you remain in the house will you make any changes?” She replied: “I would have a meeting to re-establish jobs so that other people can do a little bit more but not too much, so that we all have an equal share for the last two weeks.” |

If she's happy giving money away then good for her, I just wish sometimes she'd care about Carole for a change.

Obviously giving to charity is always a good thing, but from what this article reads, it is almost like Carole does take generosity to new heights of stupidity. It is important to have the money to pay bills and priorities and stuff, but to give a 100K away, when you are struggling is crazy
