Hell hath no fury
Audrey's dusting off her Carmen rollers, every inch of peach satin north of the Watford Gap has been shipped to Weatherfield and Betty's been buttering barm cakes since Friday. Yes, you've guessed it - it's time for another Coronation Street wedding. Or is it? Ever since Tina O'Brien announced she was quitting the Street, scriptwriters have been racking their brains, trying to think of a suitable swan song for the actress. And now it's been revealed that Tina will bow out after her small-screen alter ego, Sarah-Louise Platt, ditches her groom (played by Tina's real-life love Ryan Thomas) at the altar. Soap fans will recall that Sarah-Lou's lover Jason Grimshaw - a man with the emotional capacity of an Action Man - buggered off through the khazi window during their first attempt to get hitched, after sending her a text saying: "Can't do it. Sorry. Jx." And when Sarah discovers Jason's having second thoughts about wedding no.2, she exacts a brutal revenge. After allowing the wedding to go ahead as planned, Sarah unleashes her fury during the ceremony, before leaving Weatherfield with daughter Bethany. "It's going to be an emotional blockbuster that will have fans gripped," a soap source told the Daily Star. "Sarah-Louise is devastated when she discovers the truth but decides she won't get mad, she'll get even. She'll prove she's not a pushover and once the damage is done, she'll leave everyone else to pick up the pieces." |

Its not true, the actual ending involves David....
From ITV.com Sarah Platt does not ditch boyfriend Jason Grimshaw at the altar, itv.com can confirm. Reports in the press suggested that Tina O’Brien’s dramatic exit later this year comes after Sarah discovers Jason doesn’t want to marry her. But a spokesperson from the show insists this is not the case. “The report in the press is completely bogus, Sarah does not leave the Street after jilting Jason at the altar. “While Sarah and Jason’s big day is dramatic, it’s not because either of them change their mind about getting married.” Come to itv.com if you want to know the real facts about the show and its cast! |
