I see an increasing number of Muslim women wearing burkas on our streets and beaches and whether it is worn as the woman's choice (something I find questionable due to indoctrination) or a requirement by her family I think it is an offensive thing to do in a country where female equality is not only valued but written into our equality laws.

I strongly believe if you choose to live in a country you must integrate and respect its culture and laws which many of the Muslims I see do not do. Maybe the Muslims you speak of are in the majority but if that is the case my issues are with those that are not and I believe these Muslims should not be welcomed into the West.

I also feel that certain conditions such as banning religous clothing that praises the subjugation of women should not be allowed in public. I'm sure if anyone walked around in teeshirts with words/ logos blatantly offensive to Muslims, any other religious group or gays would not be tolerated - but somehow when the equality of those being undermined are only women they are expected to put up with it.

Are you offended by saris or are you offended by a Christian woman wearing a headscarf or a nun a habit? Does it annoy you when you see an Orthodox Jewish woman cover her hair with a tichel or her husband wearing a shtreimel.

We live in a democracy which makes us wonderfully tolerant.

Besides both Brexit and the Election of Trump prove that many people are not as tolerant as some would have us believe as many feel that tolerance is being abused.

I used to live in Hackney and often caught the bus through Stamford Hill. I always wondered why the women were so drab. Its as though they went all out to make themselves look ugly in oversized wigs and heavy coats that looked like something granny use to wear. The women would walk obediently behind their husband, usually pushing some antiquated pushchair and have four or five kids in tow. They always looked so miserable.

Maybe that's why Muslim women wear Burkhas - they or their husbands don't want people to see their miserable faces or their bruises - who knows. Would be a good way of getting away with domestic violence.

Very interesting viewing NM. I was particularly interested in the bit at the end on his comments regarding the large shadow Trump is casting and how that shadow may provide an alternative to a 'no borders or deportation orders' global government. Worrying stuff and certainly food for thought.

I would suggest that the House of Commons are paying attention to the British public.

Foreign presidents rarely get to do this. In fact its only Nelson Mandella and one other who have, up until now, been permitted. What has Trump done to earn a voice in the House of Commons? He's merely a few weeks into his job and hasn't yet done anything that Britian would consider notable.

Edited to say: What would he possibly have to say at the British Parliament that he can't tweet?

Is it edgy or something to hate Donald Trump, compared to other leaders we have hosted he has done nothing yet apart from from honour the policies which people in the USA voted for, maybe our politicians should take a leaf out of his book, instead of promising and not delivering, MTVN made an excellent point, it's easy to jump on bandwagons isn't it Mr Bercow shame you are not consistent in your condemnation
