It went a bit over the top though, far too long and miserable. The public only know him because of his music, they don't have personal ties to him. So if you want to pay a tribute to him on a music show, then just play his music, no need for the emotional stuff, we want to be entertained when we watch these shows, not made to feel down.

Just my opinion.
