BB18 feels so long away even though we're at the point now where we would have been in late October 2016 before CBB19. It never usually flies by in the months leading up to civilian like it does for celebrity, though.

This year feels slower for some reason. I think because this time last year we had constant updates about the extension and in BB16 we only had to wait about 2 months after CBB15 as everything was revealed in April due to the early launch.
I'm not too bothered though, BBCan fills the gap perfectly. Last edited by Jason.; 26-03-2017 at 03:11 PM. |

March, April and May always seem to drag before civilian starts. It might be because the press never care about civilian until the theme/series details are released a few weeks before so we rarely get new stories about it like we do in the run up to celebrity.

The fan sites seem to have started covering BBCAN more this year and last too so that gives us even less to talk about BBUK wise because they're discussing BBCAN themselves until May instead of speculating etc on the new series.

i'm looking forward to the civ season this summer too, if not just bc i'm intrigued as to whether they'll make another mess of the show as they did with 16 or if it will be ~ok~ like 17.

The run up in May is one of my favourite parts of the whole thing anyway even with the countless tiresome 'eye/theme is coming today' rumours that rarely prove to be true.

The cynic in me says BB18 will be dire, but BB17 and CBB19 being great gives me like 3% hope I guess

I can see it being entertaining - just not Big Brother.
50 days, loads of mess, countless housemates and twists incoming. |

Sadly, I think BB15 was probably the last series we got that actually felt like BB, even with its awful production, cast and all. I can see them taking a leaf out of LI's book with the duration and countless housemates just because it was catching up in the ratings last summer, which I really hope they don't because even though I enjoy both, they're completely different shows.
