Default \"A Big Brother very specifically tailored for E4\"

'Celeb BB' boss admits learning lessons

Big Brother commissioning editor Angela Jain has admitted "learning lessons" from January's Celeb BB debacle.

Speaking at a session for the Edinburgh TV Festival, Jain - also controller of E4 - admitted that the broadcaster had fallen short in managing the affair and in "getting it to screen".

"We were unaware of some of the stuff that was going on in the house," she said, referring to alleged racist comments not broadcast on the TV show. "[Being aware] is the job of the producer, it's not my responsibility. To my knowledge, it hasn't happened again."

Defending the show from its many critics, Jain described BB as a "phenomenal programme", with "an amazing capacity to reinvent itself".

She also confirmed that the version of BB due to air on E4 next January in place of Celeb BB would be "a Big Brother very specifically tailored for E4".

I don't think the producers should even think about cooking up a new version of Big Brother, it's obvious that alot of Big Brother fans have had enough of Big Brother and could do with a total break from it, also anything that airs on E4 never seems to do any good. I might watch the first episode of this new version and if I don't like it, i'll be switching off.

I really hope they can have a quick BBUS adaptation of it, but the BBUS format takes ages, so I doubt that'll happen.

It probably won't be anything like that provided it's only gonna be on E4 for a couple of weeks.

It would be polite of Endemol to let Davina present it, because after all she's lost a big wage now that CBB6 isn't going ahead.

I don't think it will be a Teen BB because it won't take place during school time, the students will loose some time.

Lmfao Given the lack of creativity the producers displayed in BB8 I'd say that's a pretty likely option.
