I managed to make an OK looking Ryder (her mouth is a little high up in some cutscenes but I couldn't be bothered restarting AGAIN) and I'm quite enjoying it. Game play is improved, over arching plot seems to be OK. Characters... I'm not sure yet. There's nothing WRONG with them by mist games standards, but the problem is that ME1 and 2 had such iconic and well developed squad mates and other secondary characters (Joker etc) that them being just OK is a misfire. The new characters in 3 were pretty much cardboard too BUT there were still the old faces from the first two at least to carry it. I literally am struggling to even remember their names in Andromeda

But yeah I think it's a decent game, and wouldn't be panned as a standalone title... It's just that it isn't quite measuring up to the highlights of the original trilogy. Another example... The music. It's competent, but forgettable sci-fi "stuff". The music of the original trilogy will be with me forever
