Yeah I just noticed your post saying that too after I posted that personally I hope she hasn't ditched her Joanne era completely, and I was kinda looking forward to what would come next, like something even further away from the old gaga and maybe more rock, I've always felt she had that side to her but had to do the pop thing because she's gaga, but when she does do generic pop she still does it better than most of the others imo.

She doesn't get enough credit for genuinely being a talented musician though, and I think she'll still be around in years to come because of that even if she does have flop singles/albums (and she probably knows it which is why she's able to take risks like with Joanne), so I do think this single is probably just fan service and she'll go back to doing what she wants to do after it.
