Default Killer Sean Mercer urged to sue ITV for making him look evil

Quote:
THE KILLER of Rhys Jones has reportedly been urged by his fellow lags to sue the makers of Little Boy Blue because it makes him look “evil” for gunning down the youngster.

Sean Mercer was given a life sentence after he was found guilty of killing 11-year-old Rhys Jones in Liverpool in 2007.

Mercer has allegedly complained about the ITV drama which features Paddy Rowan who portrays him.

Mercer, who currently being protected round the clock by officers in Frankland Prison in County Durham, has reportedly moaned that the television series is inaccurate.

He has allegedly said the shooting was an “accident” and he “didn’t mean to do it”, according to the Daily Star.

A source said: “He [Mercer] thinks the show has made him look like the most evil man in Britain when he isn’t.

“He says one of the characters on TV doesn’t exist in real life.

“His mates inside reckon he should make the most of it and sue. Some say they know lawyers itching to take the case.”

He originally denied gunning down his victim and remained silent during his 10-week trial but he was convicted by a jury.

Other gang members were also sentenced for assisting an offender.

James Yates, 28, and Dean Kelly, 25, were jailed after supplying the firearm and helping to hide Mercer when he was on the run from cops after the killing.

They both appear in the ITV series.

He killed a child and then thinks that the show is portraying him badly? At least the show will be making him more entertaining than he really is.

any professional willing to represent him, in such a case, ought to be prosecuted and locked up too.

How he behaved in court laughing and throwing paper aeroplanes was confirmed to have actually happened, apart from that the show concentrated more on the family, we didn't see much of Mercer, not sure what he has to moan about, he showed no remorse and denied doing it, maybe if he owned up, and was actually remorseful he would have got a lessor sentence

Yes, because of course if you fire once and miss and then fire the gun again to hit your target it could be seen as an accident.
What a pathetic creature he is, I am so pleased that Yates appealed his 7 year sentence and was given 12 years instead.
Yates was all big and brave until he was on remand, then he was wanting to do a deal and grass on his mates to get immunity, thank heavens it was refused.
Pleased the sad excuses for parents were punished as well, for covering up for their little darlings.

He killed a child, how much more evil can you get? Surely he doesn't need a tv show to tell him.

He is evil so they've done well in their representation of the vile bastard.

As heinous as he is, everyone is entitled to legal representation. http://www.un.org/en/universal-decla...hts/index.html

Sometimes lawyers are expected to leave their conscience and moral compass at the door.
