Really,Dimbleby needs to step down on these programmes.
He said at the start the questions weren't known beforehand but for me were easy to predict what they would be,most of them anyway. |

Too much of Corbyn's time was taken up by the silly nuclear weapons stuff, which is the least likely thing to happen during a PM's term.

Best debate so far.
Both managed to get their answers out without heckling. So we heard more from them both. Dimbleby is far superior to Paxman. |

True. I used to like his no nonsense approach, shame he has lost it now.

I do wish someone would have raised the fox hunting issue though,it looks like no one cares about it and they do.

I don't recall although I was only 9 at the time, Tony Blair and Labour being pressed on it in 2001 as to their freevote to banning it. Of course had Dimbleby shut up more, more questions maybe could have been got asked. |

I don't think people realise after the first nuke goes off, we're already ****ed, by that point it doesn't really matter what happens next, there's a reason the doomsday clock is so close to midnight.

The more of the world that doesn't get nuked, the more likely our world will survive and our animals won't become extinct. If humans want to play war games at the expense of our wildlife, I want no part of it.

Likes cars that go boom

Isn't it pathetic how they use his dislike of nukes as a stick to beat him with?

I didn't watch it, but did they bring up Corbyn's dislike of NATO too?

If we're going to revert to insults then "Jezza" needed a kitchen role to wipe off the sweat from his brow after the nuclear weapons and IRA questions which his supporters seem to ignore and stick up for him for - refusing to answer a question is pathetic and now I don't want his 73 year old crusty ass running this country by the time the next parliament ends - clearly showed he is not fit to be Prime Minister and thank God we can get rid of him next week! Go back to your allotment and stick to growing veg and leave the big decisions to the capable and not the socialists. |

Unfortunately the PM came across well despite as usual skirting around questions with Crosby's soundbites.
I wish Jeremy would just say he'd press the button in retaliation, I admire his lifelong belief but we have so many bloodthirsty ****ing dolts in this country who are oblivious to the fact that if anyone uses a nuclear weapon, that is it for humanity, and tit-for-tat retaliation is futile. Where's the accusations of right wing bias in this audience I wonder? ![]() |

I agree with all that again. There is an intolerance to.the word peace being more used as to real security With a bloodthirsty element among voters of would you use nuclear against this one, that one or anyone. That likely war obsessed to the extreme notwithstanding in the audience pressing Corbyn to say why he would not press a first strike nuclear assault, spoke volumes. Within my own family,we were pro nuclear but slowly the feeling has cemented,as you clearly point out Jack_,once anyone starts to use them, that is it. If there as a deterrent but not to be used means they are not well and good. Honestly though seriously, surely trying to dismantle the evil weapons is far more credible and someone somewhere leading a Nation needs to try at least to begin that process. I think Corbyn could get heard,he may not achieve total dismantling but this obsession with a leader should or be made to press the button is sheer madness. Once it happens it will become a free for all with full fatal devastation for the whole human race. No rhyme or reason to it whatsoever. |

Corbyn has some good ideals (ideals, not ideas), but he is not qualified to lead.

And neither is Mrs Weak and Wobbly.
I may have deplored the pig ****er's policies (though certainly not as much as hers), but at least he was statesmanlike. |

Nobody wants a nuclear war. They just want to know that the deterrent is actually working as a deterrent.Having a PM who says he wouldn't use it is not a deterrent.
