'The UN is to carry out a major investigation into the Conservative government. After numerous complaints were made, it will be reporting on concerns surrounding Britain’s human rights record, the impact of austerity, poverty, mass surveillance, racism, and press freedom. When will the UN turn its attention to backward African countries, murdering and maiming each other? Their governments robbing their own treasuries to make sure everyone has a new AK? If there was any truth in this story I would urge the UN to turn its attentions to where it's most needed and stop ****ing about.

Probably when those countries become UN members and therefore duty bound to adhere to UN standards. Just a thought. Though we'll probably be "Brexiting" the UN next anyway. With the end goal, obviously, being to Brexit planet earth and float off into space with our fish 'n' chips.

Don't you find it rather hypocritical that a humanitarian organisation will only help victims of abuse and inhumane treatment if their country is a member of a club?

I personally feel like it would be abhorrent for the UN to be intervening in the affairs of other countries if it CAN'T even hold its own member countries to account.

As a civilised democratic country it begs the question why we need investigating in the first instance... Why can't our govt abide by the standards they set? ( Human rights)

Remember this Government, or the one we will have if people vote for the Tories, want to censor what you can see and what you can say on the internet and on social media.

In addition to this they would like to keep records of all the things you do on-line. Currently there is a European court ruling that basically says that invades the peoples basic human right to privacy.

After the recent terror attacks there is now talk of further regulation. We are drifting in a world where there is a real big brother watching everything you say and do online and on your phone.

As soon as we leave the EU we will lose any protection provided by the EU courts.
