She would not have called this election if she didn't think it would be a landslide in her favour...the arrogance was pretty misplaced I think and she has ran the most negative campaign I have ever witnessed. But with the whole Brexit thing...she would have had to take a dump on the queens face to lose completely tbh, and even if she did that I am not totally sure she could have ever lost

Long may an actual left wing Labour party continue.

But yes, congrats to Tory voting members. I don't really think any 'luck' is necessary here lol
I agree; a Conservative win (of some description) has always been inevitable but what this campaign and a lot of the discussion around it has done for me, at least, is show that there is a very real possibility of a Labour (probably a Labour coalition of some description) win in 5 years' time whereas a couple of months ago, all I could see was Tories Tories Tories stretching endlessly into the future. The Cons must be pretty miffed to be honest... I mean, they have been expecting to absolutely steamroll Labour, but even if they do tomorrow, it's not been as cut and dry throughout the campaign as they expected at all. And let's be honest, the Labour party HAS been a mess recently, yet they've still pulled together a strong campaign.

If / when they actually get their **** together internally, they'll be in a very strong position.

I of course will be voting SNP tomorrow even though I'm edging away from independence currently being the best option. They are the only real option for protecting Scottish interests, regardless of independence. But I'd be much more comfortable having Scotland under the SNP work alongside England under Labour, than the constant ideological wrestling match that we have Vs the Tories.

I just can't contemplate a tory win, it will be the end of democracy as we know it.

I've never known an election campaign that's stirred up such emotion. There's an energy like I've never seen. The internet has been a blessing for anyone who wanted to question the smear campaign by the right wing media against Corbyn but he swam through the vomit and came out smelling of roses!. Right now he has to be the most popular MP in Britain and that's not going to go away any time soon. He makes me so proud to be British.

I'll be praying for a miracle tomorrow but I will gracefully accept a loss if it happens. Jack, I got so down after the last election results; so much so it made me physically ill. I'm not going to do that this time because Corbyn needs us to keep fighting the good fight. You're a clever guy so keep talking to people, keep spreading your political knowledge because this is just the beginning, not the end.

And remember to take the result on the chin and respect the result, that's democracy. And no need for the people that voted for the elected to gloat, because there's nothing to gloat about.

It was a pretty daft thing to say with all the information out there about his terrorist sympathising. He is a pretty dodgy character to be running for PM and I am entitled to express my opinion too without being accused of trolling.

You always resort to shutdown tactics - weak and predictable.

I've been through a lot of elections now, and they are always passionately fought, but I've never seen one with the number of twists and turns that this one has taken.

Of all those who have so passionately argued their position, I wonder how many were undecided in their stance before the campaign and have now chosen, how many have swung from one side to another ....

My feeling is very few .... have a good trouble free day tomorrow

Tories all the way they deserve it more and they have a leader who is capable.

No world leader wants Corbyn in charge and would l]walk away from UK relations

If the Tories go in again, I'm moving to Ireland. Niamh if you could get your spare room set up, that'd be great.

Room's taken; we covered in another thread that I am going to be deported to Ireland under new legislation (when I am convicted of torrenting), due to my 3rd generation Irish heritage on the paternal side.

Indeed it is, you can't argue with democracy, accept the result and move on, or onwards and upwards.

Indeed you can and should do so Jack_.
I agreed with all you said in your other post too.

Normally I am one who wishes best of luck in elections to all but I don't care as to the criticism I may get from some for what I say now.

Please everyone who can,use your vote today, for me the result should matter less as I head off from the UK soon but I still care deeply about the present UK and particularly those seen as the weakest in it.

Any result today that gives a victory to the Conservatives more than only a few seats more than they got in 2015,in my view will be a disaster leaving Friday nothing like just another day.

My utter dismay and despair with UK politics now has reached heights I never believed it would be possible to.
Most govts elected turn out to be at least just in their actions overall.
Not this one over the last 7 years, and a greater majority for it will be the worst possible outcome.

So I hope just possibly those voting today will think and vote for hope over fear, more than they chose to in 2015 especially in this totally unnecessary election.
I say good luck to all those wishing to do that and who make the effort to go and vote for hope over fear.

This is not a post resembling just a Labour Party political broadcast, what it is, is a post against what is the most heartless cruel present govt.
With a tiny hope that voters will deliver a kick to said govt today.

Really good luck to those going out to vote with that aim.
