Poss stupid question, if Theresa May resigns today then do we like not have a prime minister until the leadership election?

If Theresa had acknowledged the 48% she would could have won this I reckon, but she felt like ignoring almost half of the electorate, she has no one to blame but herself, especially since she called this election.

We will always have a prime minister. If she went today, her deputy would take over, if she stays ... no change, or she could resign and stay until a new leader is elected

The last thing we need is another election tbh, it's been an onslaught since 2015.

dont think he is credible

The mess was entirely the fault of May, I'm a tory voter, but she has had an absolutely disastrous campaign, the only good thing to come out of this is that hard brexit has gone.

I think another election should be off the table, we can't waste a year of Article 51 negotiations.

May ignored practically half the country who voted remain, Nicola ignored the majority in Scotland that voted For the Union, the backlash is not unexpected

Tezza resigning today would give her the 7th shortest PM tenure - The shortest since Bonar Law in 1922

This will do for me for now, this pathetic deceitful lying woman, showed unbelievable arrogance in saying to voters, you didn't give us a big enough majority in 2015, I want a much bigger one.
Well even with the poodles of the DUP supporting her she is still left with less votes than she had before in parliament.
As for writing Labour off and heading for their worst result since before WW2, nonsense.

A really interesting night and she got what she deserved.

The BBC actually pointed out that Corbyn has gained a lot of the same seat Blair did, he might end up having the same momentum if the party finally unite behind him.
