Is he down trodden ? Or are they a 'team' more likely a team after the amount of years they've been together .... but saying that i knew a couple just like them - and after 25yrs and the kids have left home - he snapped ! she still clings on as she can't function without him , so i hope Sukki watches how controlling she is at the end of this and how crap she treats her husband, or chances are she'll be a very unhappy woman later on.
