At least put some effort into a post when making such a dramatic thread.

All I want is for it to reach BB20 (but ideally 21 so it'd be twenty years since it began), they can do a proper final UBB type series and then put it to rest

Alas it seems like it's gonna go out with a whimper on this pathetic channel

ITV's a bit full now and Love Island is serving ITV2 very well. Big Brother costs a lot to run so I don't know if it would serve ITVBe well.

Big Brother needs an overhaul, C5 seem to have given up, and I can't imagine any other channel wanting the show now as it needs A LOT of work to get it back to a reasonable standard, and that's before trying to sell it to the public again. The show is heading to an inevitable hiatus. I can imagine C5 scrapping it and the show coming back a few years down the line.

I prefer it to the Celebrity version but wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled.
They need some new staff involved in the production and work on improving housemate selection and the variety of tasks for housemates. The actual house design is really good imo and doesn't need to be improved.

If they axe normal BB, then CBB has to go with it. I'd love to see C5 drop it tbh and either ITV or C4 pick it up in a few years

If they axed it, i don't want another channel taking it tbh. it needs a long rest maybe a few years or over for good.

It's time for a rest, then a reboot on a different channel. 5-10 years is a suitable length.

Tbh production needs to go it's been terrible since 2014. Id rather C5 let it go as they clearly can't do it anymore ... ITV or C4 (if they're even interested) could give it a go and hopefully get it back to putting out above average seasons rather than blatantly manipulated, awful EotB spin offs.

for me, its long past its sell by date, in a similar way to other shows like the x factor. Its a very small demographic that continue to watch it, and if they enjoy it and C5 still continue to run it, then fair enough. I believe you could watch the first and last weeks and really not have missed much a bit like missing a year of Coronation street and they are still on the same story line

Absolutely not.

You can always switch off though if you don't enjoy it. I agree with other members it needs to leave channel 5 though and even though this was unthinkable only a few years back go over to itv2. I think we were concerned as BB has this stigma attached to it as trash, racist, bullying and that itv would censor it to much but people actually bang on love island and its discussed on morning television as if it's some family friendly show. Channel 5 have rinsed it seriously come summer there would have been 13 CBB,s and 7 civilian BB,s in 6 years it's insane they don't give the public the chance to get over one series before another is about to start it's exhausting as a lifelong fan so I can imagine the casual viewer feels like "**** this not again"

Another thought rest it until 2020 when it will actually be 20 years since the original and get it back on Channel 4 for a comeback and see how it goes from there with the original cast, live feed and make it different from every other reality show that sadly it's currently trying to imitate.....that's sad in itself seeing as it's the original reality show.

The concept of just leaving people to get on with it with no contact is still a fascinating concept but they constantly interfere to cause fake drama now.
