I don't think anything will save this series. They can try keep it stable, maybe build it a little and keep it at timebomb levels but other than that it's only going to get worse

Yeah they need to stop the desperate gimmicks to try and increase ratings. They're not going to work so I'd rather they left the series alone to play out naturally. The former is the reason why BB16 was turned to shit and bringing the VIPs in this series did nothing apart from ruin the entire second week.

They haven’t pulled any gimmicks in this last week, it’s all been natural but yeah, after the VIP’s I think the damage was done to the ratings

Sorry Love Island Deserves he ratings for not having trash producers C5 have brought this on themselves. Even now they're probably thinking of gimmicks to draw in viewers that will probably drive people away.

Love Island literally have little idents with the cast members in it that they play between shows during the afternoon. Had last night happened on love Island they would of promoted the **** out of it, they really thought that a clip on their twitter and fbook was enough?

they killed it with the 2 bedrooms and the crap celebs. they orchestrated drama themselves and now its imploding. Shows like last night only appeal to the minority of blood thirsty viewers and those that just like to see violence. Sorry but id rather see fun and games and the odd feud being played out over time. We are being force fed drama and its pathetic. Plus the vte needs to be left in force and let us get idiots like lotan and hannah out before they infect the show.

Just show snippets from tonight's upcoming episode during ad breaks....I suppose it's easier for them as its free advertising as they can show it on ITV during any show BUT remember when CBB11 had these promos on prime time ITV shows now they can't even be arsed to promote it on their own Channel. Heads need to roll for this piss poor attempt at promotion it's laughable.

What a childish attitude noones pissed off at love island getting better ratings we are simply stating its getting better ratings because it's production and marketing team have pulled out all the stops to get it the ratings and we feel let down by channel 5 for being so lazy with their recent advertising or lack of....ffs its 2017 we can like both shows. This is about ratings not petty which show is better arguments even Caroline Flacke said she hated the rivalry between the 2 shows.

The promotion this year was abysmal.

Look at CBB13 and CBB15 - they pulled in an average of 3.1 million viewers and they were both heavily promoted. What other show on Channel 5 cracks 3 million a night? They really need to go all out when promoting the next CBB, especially the winter one which is the blockbuster of the franchise. I think the interest in regular BB just isn't there anymore but CBB could survive a long time if treated right.

I just read an article on DS from a couple of days ago about BB. It was moslty slating it and suggesting it should be axed, but there was an interesting quote from a Channel 5 spokesman "the series is now in the later slot of 10pm, as opposed to the traditional 9pm airtime, and the average ratings at this later time have increased by 25 per cent".
It sounds like spin and I doubt they're happy with the ratings but it could explain why they've not pulled any desperate stunts.

Surprising to see it higher than night before excl +1 that figure is only 30k under the previous episodes +1 so it does seem it beat Sunday unless it adds less than 40k on +1

I think it's just TiVo recordings. I'm still pissed they don't include Ireland ratings as it would be a fair ammount higher
