On Friday, just 5.7 million viewers tuned in to see Essex boy Brian win BB8. This is 3.1 million down on last year's final! Last year, 7.8 million watched Pete Bennet win, with a peak of 8.2 million.
The first show, at 8.30pm, to see Carole, Ziggy and Jonty evicted, was watched by just 5.6 million.

These figures have made this series average at 3.8 million viewers, the lowest since the show started seven years ago. Those ratings are awful.

probably because people have wised up to BB and that hm's are portrayed in a light tht BB want you to see. so it is now not our decision who wins, its BB's and they think what's the point in watching. whts the point in voting when the bookies do the majority voting.

I for one will always watch BB. its car crash television and I am hooked

I dont know why everyones saying this year is so bad. Whats wrong with it? Its been funny, with memorable characters and alot of drama. Yes its not the best but its certainly not the worst!
I like it alot and im gonna miss it, its going to be weird not watching it tonight!

There will always be us hooked viewers of BB. The problem for C4 is they are losing the ones that usually say "I won't watch this year" and then catch a few shows and are caught.

I thought this year's concepts in theory were all quite good but we viewers ruin it for ourselves. We vote out the wrong people and then when given the chance to get rid of the dullards we get rid of the exciting ones. WHY? We then get our boring summer which none of us want.

I grew very bored with this year's show and I'm a big fan who will stick with the show through thick and thin. I was even there when Cameron bored the nation. There is three years of BB left to run and although change is hard to deal with maybe it is time for it to evolve because if it doesn't it is going to die.
