I saw a similar story all over social media today actually...headings/comments such as 'its a miracle!' and 'first time ever' 'amazing' 'defies everything science ever taught you' and so on. I had an inkling that we had not had such massive leaps in science as the headlines made out but read anyway, only to discover that the amazing neverbefore thing that had happened was that a female and a male had had sex, and the female had conceived. My flabber was well and truly gastered I tell you. Truly once in a lifetime event there. Basically, the story was that a transman and a transwoman had had a baby. So...some people seemed absolutely astounded to discover that biological sex trumps 'gender identity' when it comes to procreation
Its just a total non story. Same as this one. Female people (or people of the sex with the potential to produce ova) become pregnant sometimes when they have sexual intercourse with males (or people of the sex with the potential to produce sperm) and have children. That is really nothing new at all.
My brackets are apparently necessary as previously biological terms such as female now have to include male people apparently. Where the fight appeared to be for the words man/woman..as it was largely accepted that gender identity was a mental thing rather than physical...which seems to have changed in the last year or so.
