maybe big brother had no intention of putting an online audition housemate in and maybe this has something to do with Big Brother X

There is a new series of Big Brother airing on E4 on January.

That is all we know about it so far, hence the series has been nicknamed "Big Brother X"

Hence why someone is thinking the online applicants for Big Brother 8 might get on the show.

According to Angela Jain, who is the E4 Head of Programming and the Big Brother Commissioning Editor, it will be a "Big Brother very specifically tailored for E4".

i dont think the online audition will be for Big Brother X. They didnt know celeb bb was going to be cancelled then.
