RIP to those who lost their lives on what was such a tragic day. Was back in my school days (year 11 at the time) & hadn't heard anything until late that afternoon, got home switched on the tv and there it was the events of what had been happening replaying over and over again. A day that will certainly never be forgotten that's for sure.

construction of the new tower is underway now.. they are calling the new world trade centre the 'freedom tower' it is to be built one floor higher to show the terrorists that we wont let them win...

artists impression of the freedom tower..
I cant believe the nerve of those chinese peopel putting thumbs up for cameras near where all those people died . That makes me so angry!!!!!!! . Do they not have any respect for the dead???.

That new tower looks well cool. I hope its built and shows all those terriorts that America isnt scared of them.

sadly Amy some people enjoy the sadness of others and of places.

A friend of mine has been to ground zero and said it was the saddest place she had ever been, this was more than 2 years ago.

My Mum went to New York in 2002 i think in October, they were still clearing up then, its a huge loss for people who lost there loved ones and Ameria and the whole world really but its good how they are are making a new tower to show they won't be beaten, i also think theres a big memorial on Ground Zero aswell.

Theres a Freedom Tower already made at San Diego Legoland :O Wow Sorry that was random

On the actual day of 9/11 I had gone to meet my bloke from work as he had an early finish, I was in his work's canteen and they had the news on when I found out.

On 7/7 I had turned on the TV to watch This Morning but all I saw was news of what had happened, on that day my bloke came home later than what I'd expected as he'd gone to get us some chips, and I was crying cos I thought there might have been other bombings in our area and scared something might have happened to him. He had no idea about the 7/7 bombings until I told him!

on 9/11

i was in primary school and from the window of my classroom we could see 2 men digging a whole and it looked like they were burying something so we got the head teacher to ring up the police but they obviously couldn't come and then it turn out that they were just fixing a stone wall
