Really? Did Linda need a cancer plot on top of the marriage problems, the Vic plot, her mum having a stroke.

Seems like a twist for the sake of s twist.

Don't get me wrong I think Linda deserves some limelight as her own character as even her own rape story was made all about Mick and Shirley but they really didn't need to do this.

But that's SOC all over.

He couldn't run a bath.

I thought she said she's had cancer, not she has it? Sorry if I've misinterpreted that.

Yeah she did say she had cancer, so I assume it's gone now?

That makes it even worse.

Yet again a plotline that's happened off screen so what's the bloody point.

Honestly this show makes such stupid mistakes. A child could run this more competently than the shower that has been.

I guess Mick will be heartbroken that she felt she couldn't tell him she had cancer and he was falling in love with Whitney whilst she was dealing with that but yeah pretty unnecessary.

Well tbf her taking care of her sick mother is reason enough yet he kept accusing her is swanning off on her jollies.

God I detest Mick and Whitney.

Jane Beale is the only character that's retained any semblance of EastEnders.

It's like with Abi, they thought ok she's not a good enough actress to be Janine 2.0 so let's just make her a fecking scream.

Jane Beale has carried the show in the same way Chrissie Watts, Stacey Slater, Janine Butcher and David Wicks have when everything else was crumbling behind the scenes in the past.

I'm kind of done with "major character dies or in danger" it's getting worse than Hollyoaks.

They killed Peggy and Ronnie and Roxy in the space of 9 months. I think that's big enough deaths for a couple of years.

Me and Daniel-X were saying earlier that Hollyoaks would have actually done this way better than EastEnders have. Should Jane die her death will be as much of a shambles as Ronnie and Roxy's was I can tell you that now. Hollyoaks would have made sure characters like Ronnie, Roxy and Jane got huge tragic and fitting endings with catastrophic events.

Oh, no doubt they'd have had a proper dramatic exit storyline in the build up too. Rather than them suddenly getting some attention the week before.

I remember Ronnie didn't even appear for two episodes prior to her death episode.

And they randomly made Roxy a bad guy and a loser for no reason.

And Jane has randomly been shoehorned into the story line a few weeks before her death.

I still can't at Max and Fi managing to avoid contact on the square to not give the game away yet ever since it's been revealed to the audience they're practically shagging in the middle of the square hoping Carmel's curtains don't twitch.

Quite funny looking back though to when we were all taking the piss about Jane suddenly becoming obsessed with planting daffodils in the square was actually the "build up" to her exit.
