#302: Kenneth Tong

There's not masses and masses to say on Kenneth, baring I mind BB10 was the first series I watched live and I was nine at the time (don't come for my mum!) so I'll try and produce a nice little write up for him from what I can remember.

Kenneth was a smooth talking businessman, Karly Ashworth's (present HM) partner. (Btw they tried this twist the year before and it backfired preposterously and probably cost Rex the win). Anyway, the night Kenneth entered Karly got evicted which is kinda hilarious and all but not for Kenneth! He spent the rest of his stay during the house being really miserable because his girlfriend had been evicted, told legend Bea Hammil to commit suicide and swiftly exited by jumping the wall exactly a week after his arrival. Writing this he doesn't sound too bad I get it, but it's his actions outside the house such as poking fun at Gary Barlow's stillborn baby, promoting anorexia to teenage girls and he says all this because he's 'wealthy enough to do so?'.

The man is horrific and needs to get out this ranking now, scumbag.

I don't get this common complaint people do where they bring in what housemates do outside the house. Unless it's directly implied in the show I don't really see why it should impact people's view on a housemate. Andrew Tate is really awful but I say that without even thinking about the weird **** he's said/done outside the house.

Because it's disgusting? That's why I don't like Derek Laud as much as the average person, it affects the view of the HM for me. I know some people just stick to what happened during the stint of the show but I see further than that. It's preference really.

301. Evelyn Ellis

Whilst of course not a bottom-10 housemate of all time, circumstances have emerged where she needed desperately to be culled.

Of this group of nominees - but also of Big Brother 17 in general - Evelyn stands as one of the most overrated in a long time. Her fan favourite status on here is unearned and stems largely from one series moment: where she and Laura clocked Jackson's BS in the bedroom. Even then, one could argue that this was largely instigated by Laura - who at this point in the series was paranoid about pretty much every housemate

Whatever underdog story Evelyn had built up to this point - winding up Georgina by plirting (play-flirting? no? not a word yet? ok) with Jackson, having a cool accent, being an Asian - was rather strangely undone by the last two weeks with her beelines for Alex Cannon, though, and ultimately, my lasting impression of Evelyn from BB17 was... "boring airhead". Sorry about it!
