1.4m is a loss of 670k overnight, and a loss of 520k year on year. It's almost the highest drop from launch to first episode since CBB13 at least, excluding CBB18 which dropped 780k.

Not good. It's not going in a good direction. This is tragic

1.4 million is the equivalent to a few episodes of BB17

and the winter CBB from the same year got 2.4 million for it second episode

Even summer CBB (which was the least watched ever) launched with 1.8 but then only fell to 1.6

A couple of 10:30pm Saturday episodes last January got 1.3m but other than that, it definitely is.

This year the 9pm first look episode on 5star is back on Saturdays, as from the 13th it'll be on at 10:30pm on C5

I do think we will see it rise again on Friday tbh. I can see why people are switching off when we have 5 older women and 3 less known women.

But it might rise again friday and probably go down again so expect a big twist

It'll rise on Friday but it won't stabilise unless they have a character prominent in the media throughout (Lee Ryan, Perez Hilton & Katie Hopkins, Tiffany Pollard, Gemma Collins & Stephanie Davis, Kim Woodburn). I don't think any of the current housemates will be that character but Dapper Laughs and Shane Lynch sound like they suit that profile.

Terrible. Hope it's just a blip,. But it needs to rise to at the very least to 1.6m to get 2m+ officials... and that will still only be "ok" for winter CBB. Great for summer.

1.3-1.4m was what CBB in summer was getting which was lowest ever CBB, so it will be awful if a JAN series is the lowest!

Honestly I think Shane lynch is gonna be boring....like the new Calum best.

Also isn't he t total now and not the bad boy he used to be? They could be twins.

It's not going to average 2 million + when they are splitting launches and putting it on 5* again on Saturdays though unless the catchup figures are really big.
