Whilst I think most of us find that a terrorising prospect, many of us feel that politicians that would get rid of their countries nuclear protection would be creating the same risk.

We are not dealing with only rational and logical governments worldwide but also with dictators and religious zealots who would have no respect for or interest in sharing some kind of mutual global relinquishment of nuclear weapons and would annialate the West in a heartbeat. There would be no loyalty to some Western politician trying to be friends!

Donald Trump would like to see tougher laws on speech, Mr Trump said that if libel laws “were strong... you wouldn’t have things like that happen where you can say whatever comes into your head” – referring to Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.
