Other than the effects on sleep (which can cause huge problems), in my opinion it's not the phones / the tech; it's social media full stop. If you get me started on it, I'll end up writing a 5000 word essay, and I don't have the time or inclination really other than to say... I fully believe that social media has an absolutely disastrous effect on the wellbeing of everyone, teenagers and adults, and a further serious negative effect on society en masse.
