They've latched onto Ann as their champion because whilst being thoroughly loathsome in her opinions, dull, negative, homophobic, old fashioned, domineering...at least she's herself.

Thats the absolute crux of it. People are so used to those negative personality traits that they don't trust someone who is nice.

I mean how do you know Ann isn't being fake? No one can be fake nasty can they?

And whilst I'm at it how many times are we going to deny that she Homophobic?

The woman literally voted against gay rights, has done nothing but cringe and roll her eyes every time the 'gay' lifestyle is brought up in the house.

And before you all tell me 'she can't be homophobic she's friends with Amanda'

Entirely different in Anns eyes. She's an advocate of a patriarchal society. She's a misogynist.

Seeing a man display feminine attributes doesn't sit well with her because she's so used to 'men being men'.

Amanda is a woman so it doesn't bother Ann as much because she sees women as second rate anyway.

It appears that because of you're own bleak lives you're all just intimidated by his good nature, his intelligence and his demeanour.

There's nothing wrong with Shane J and there's nothing wrong with Ann. We are humans, varied, flawed, every one of us has things about us that other people would object to. But as adults in society we have to learn to live together instead of dividing people into cosy little niches. Despite your claims about Ann, she's been good friends all the way through with Amanda. She has never said she hates gays but is against gay marriage. And instead of allowing her to have her views... a section of society has decided that Ann is a scummy homophobe and you're all doing everything you can to change people's mind around to your own way of thinking.

People like Ann don't worry me. People with views like yours do worry me. You have to cut people some slack. The constant harping on about Ann makes her look like a victim and it makes those hounding her look like they are the ones who are actually narrow-minded.
