Overnights of 1.3m (like last night) will pull the series average down closer to 1.9m rather than 2m which is a shame, and not even the final will help as it's on a Friday and is a split snow

This series isn't the best winter series but it's better than CBB18 atleast and that got an average of 2.1

winter series are the most viewed BB each year and with the ratings down i dread to think what BB19 ratings would be like and even CBB22.

Officials dint look too bad considering. It's currently at a 1.97m series average. But the bad ratings of the past week will drag it down to 1.85m at the end I reckon.

It's amazing how mich of a difference splitting Friday's is making, surely they will stop doing this. Look at this... these are the officials so far...

Surely they understand to stop bloody splitting the Friday show, that is starting to damage the show even mroe than Saturdays, if you take out those 10 35pm Friday slots, then the show would be much more likely to be in the 2s considering so far 13 of the 23 officials are in the 2s, and the Friday 2nd show is barely scraping 1.5m officially.

It;s so easy, and it would help the figures rise if they just did a 90 minute show. The fact that all Saturdays have outrated the last 2 Friday 2nd shows. Get rid of it!!

I know the series ain't doing great, but it would be a step in the right direction.

In recent few years, the only time the Friday split show did very well was for Jeremy's eviction in cbb17 when it was him vs Steph.

Ratings for that:

9pm- 3.25m
10 30pm- 3.04m

That's what you call an incredible official.

If it rates decently (as in 1.2 overnights) there’s actually no reason why not. We’ll probably end up with it being just over a million though sadly.

Overnights won't change from this, it'll be official figured that are boosted with the additional My5 viewers. So right now CBB adds around 500k nightly with consolidated figures but that could rise to 7/800k!

If BB19 averages 900k overnight again, the official series average count be nearer 1.6 million again rather than 1.3 like BB18!

What about the repeats they show the next day and on mtv? I never understood why they wernt counted I mean there are a lot more viewers watching than being projected.

I think the Channel 5 repeat is counted isn't it? Not sure..

I do remember that during CBB15 (maybe 17) the repeats on MTV were getting 250k at least but it never got added to the official CBB ratings

Edit: I just checked and last Tuesdays CBB is the only one to show up on MTV+1 with 6,000 views not sure what it got on MTV but less than 50k

Eek I have more views on some of my YouTube videos lol nice jump to 1.5 for last night though I expect after another triple eviction tonight it's gonna get very boring for the rest of the week and a drop in ratings.

IMO the rest of the week would've been interesting with just 5 housemates left, but BBUK seem to agree with you and so are putting in a bunch of ex housemates tomorrow. I think 1.5 for the rest of the week. The final will be bad with a split show

So basically CBB/BB and every other show is getting far more than we see in the ratings.

With the inclusion of all the extra stuff in March, we should see an increase is EVERY show on TV, especially with young demo. Things like Countryfile will stay the same as they never timeshift because those watching are an older LIVE audience.

But with the likes of IAC, CBB, Love Island, Take Me Out, The Voice, TOWIE etc... will all be higher because a lot of those shows get a lot of people watching on Iplayer/BBCplayer, My5 etc... something which are not counted now.

I read something on another site, that CBB could add "as much as half a million extra on top of the normal officials" (so around 1m altogether) because in the last few years, My5 numbers and other ways of watching the series was 300k+
