I still remember Love Islanders from the first series in, what, 2015. I still remember contestants from the Celebrity Series in 2005/2006. Trust me, they'll be remembered.

I mean you can say exactly the same about those on Ex on the Beach, and The Apprentice etc. They're all civilians.

I don't see much point of worrying about the show's cancellation until it's been announced. We just have to have faith that Channel 5 should be rational with the fact that Big Brother and CBB is still their most ratings strong show regardless of recent dips or not.

They would stupid to get rid of January CBB anyway and also with the fact that Big Brother is Channel 5's ONLY challenger to Love Island in the summer (what are they going to replace it with really all new Channel 5 original shows bomb hard). We just have to think rationally.

Personally girls I don’t want it to be axed, everyone slates C5 but imo they are good at doing BB

HOWEVER unfortunately I think it’ll be axed bc the ratings this year have been sh*te, but then you can justify everything in Pete’s post

AND before BBUK-Fan tells me I’m not a fan by saying I think it’ll be axed, I’m probably a bigger fan than yooohoooo

I can't see C5 buying the rights outright and then not using it immediately, they'd want their money back as soon as possible

I don't want it to be axed just like everyone else but I think as a whole forum and more, optimism is always good so we have if not loads but even a little faith that the show can stay because we all love it.

I won't tell anyone they are not a fan because they are and I regret doing that before and I apologise if I have said that to anyone so we can all move on, and just hope that Big Brother continues for the long lasting future.
Then that’s fair enough, just didn’t like when you was saying members weren’t fans that’s all and yes no negative vibes NOOO, we just want positive vibes

If Civ is axed then i hope CBB is too

I wouldn't be sad to see it go but i would prefer it to go on a break for a few years.

I think a break would be good but not complete axing.

Maybe have 2 years just to sort out production, get big names, actually PLAN tasks and maybe they will save more money for them 2 years so we can have live feed! Hooray

CBB still has some life left in it.

Axe the summer series and just keep CBB as a January show.

I will be sad if it goes ,to say the least. However ,they don't care about civilian bb that much is clear .As much as I ended up enjoying the last series in the end it took some work for me to get into it ,it wasn't until the final 3 weeks I felt I'd really got into it ,as in HAD to watch every night instead of recorded ,followed stories online, felt any sort of connection with particular housemates .
In my opinion the main problems, or at least for me ,are...Housemate line up-almost everyone has a reality tv background, verified instagram account, agent, background in music/tv industry /modelling.Im aware I'm a Chanelle fan but imo the auditions need to go back to the original process.
Stricter rules-I really don't like all the contact with the outside world and family members being brought into the house, even housemates bloody pets .Getting to sleep with partners overnight too ,what the hell??
Live feed-live feed is how we got to know housemates, connect with them and also was great for the press to keep up to date with stories as they unfolded. With the right housemate ,production team and live feed it almost felt like we were there with them.
I'd also like to see the series run for longer and celeb be taken away from the summer and kept to January.I don't understand why it follows just a few days after civilian bb ends ?
I'm sure all of this has probably been said before ,it's nothing new,it seems like producers are unwilling to make any changes that the viewers they do have left actually want to see!its like they simply do not research ,or simply do not listen.Instead seem to come up with crazy ideas that go against everything that made bb the phenomenon it is .If it's going to sink further into despair in terms of viewers I'd rather they have it a break but I can't see what's so difficult for them ...go back to basics

This news has been spreading around certain forums. I hate to see the show go since I've been watching since bb15. bb18 started off rocky, but i ended up enjoying it quite a bit after Isabelle got rid of Lotion. Cbb20 has been absolutely terrible. I turned it off just before the infamous trisha left. It's literally the worst season thus far. The cast is absolutely horrendous. I'm obviously a newbie to the series, but i do have a problem with the fame*****s like Ellie and Sam. I could have totally did without them. Do you guys think the show should adopt the US formula? Do you guys think that could possibly save it if it's cancelled? I just hate that the aussie version was cancelled i quite liked that one with ryan, priyah and skye. Hopefully another one doesn't bit the dust.

Well, it seems like a very bad place to be over on C5HQ! Basically there is nothing left to do. Mirella (new person) has ruined the show further. The civilian series was doing as well as it always has been before she came on the scene. A lot of fingers in the ears, "fla-lalaing".

The news will all come out after CBB airs, I think they are waiting on the performance of that series to come to a final decision. But at the moment, civilian BB seems to be dead in the water.

I think right now it's all embargoed and isn't allowed to be posted. But what I know is that "right now, they are in a worse position that 4 was in mid BB10"... and IIRC that was the time C4 announced they would be axing Big Brother.

No news came out after CBB aired
Any more news
