If it is an attractive feminine female who is gay then it will be sensational. If it is a man then it will depend. If it's a twinky effeminate pop star like Olly in Years and Years then noone will be surprised or care. If it's a sports star like rugby league Keegan Hirst there will be a shock.

Most straight guys don't want to worship guys who are gay and most straight guys idolise sports stars. So if a male sports stars especially football, F1, basketball, rugby or ever conservative golf, it will be a shock. However if he does ice skating, synchronised swimming, gymnastics then there is no huge shock.

But Proto has come out fighting and says one of the reasons the star is so unhappy is because details of him gifting the flat to his friend have been made public.

Even if Ronaldo is actually gay (which I think he is) he can't come out as

1. he would be too valuable a marketing commmodity to come out. Being out as gay would weaken his value proposition
2. He is popular in many markets including the middle east and Asia which don't exactly have great records on gay rights and homophobia
3. the distracting abuse he will get from rival fans who already hate him
4. the collapse of a possible transfer to a wealthy club like PSG 1970 owned by middle esstern owners , not exactly reknown for gay acceptance

The same isn’t true of the pregnant rape survivors of Boko Haram, or the Northern Irish women denied the same reproductive choices as other women in the UK. It’s as though women don’t have any personal subjectivity at all.

I think women are human, too. I think our experience of reproduction, loving and caring matters, too.....
