Default USA: Cars trapped after pedestrian bridge collapses in Miami
There are deaths , sadly.

[A pedestrian bridge has collapsed in Florida
leaving several cars trapped.
The newly-installed 950-tonne bridge at
the Florida International University collapsed on Thursday afternoon.
It is at the Miami school's main campus.]

You would think a fail safe mechanism could be used to somehow stop the concrete hitting the road below..
