The tax on 'Sugary Drinks' is just yet another 'Stealth Revenue-Raising' ploy by the Government.
Any 'Tax' on the manufacturers will - OBVIOUSLY - be passed on by them to the consumer, thus hiking up the prices of most soft drinks by 8p per can. The 'motive' of a drive to 'better health' is pure B.S. because if that WAS the Government's REAL reason then they could have LEGISLATED to force manufacturers to limit the amount of sugar that they put in drinks. DITTO cigarette and Tobacco tax hikes. (And NO, I do not drink any 'fizzy' drinks)
