Its not arguing Matthew - we are just discussing things. This has been a fairly balanced thread and I can see both sides. Personally I don't think raising the age limit will do much unless every member has to provide id when they sign up - like FB the younger ones will just put a fake date of birth in. At least with the way things are at the moment we have an idea of ages of members so you can be aware of the content you address to them if you know they are younger (but to be fair I'm sure they hear worse irl than on here, I know I did and that was back in the dark ages)

I just don’t see a reason for raising the age limit except for it being an excuse to get rid of the swear filter, which mods have frequently said exists because it “cheapens the forum.”
