Tbf I think that most people respect each other's opinions on Political issues, it's just a few loony tunes who take extreme action towards a different Political opinion.

We're very competitive when it comes to basically everything here I feel... so I think #revivecivility needs to have sort of do or die Survivor-esk element added to the "movement" in order to get more people emotionally invested... but being polite isn't really natural to our national culture... Unruly disobedient rebels comes to mind... I think we are united in the sense that our culture is very competitive, and that perhaps some vitriol is overblown, because of the way actual discourse is primarily being reported from social media...
