I remember he used to say he had a good relationship with the media, and I guess really does have a deep desire to be liked by them and the public. But it's a huge character flaw when he is under investigation by the feds... at least his Twitter is locked to 280 chars and is rate-limited ... I can see politically that he maybe just sees this as connecting with his base... but Fox News is not necessarily his base, they're still the media...

I sense a rather desperate desire to be more accepted and liked by the media and public in Trump too, Maru, and I think that may be one of the reasons why he - consciously or otherwise - seems to 'go on and on' in some interviews because he is using the occasion for Public-Relations purposes.

I also think that he feels less hostility from the Fox News crew.
