Speculation is hotting up around a move for Bordeaux midfielder Yoann Gourcuff, after it was believed that Manchester City scouts were in attendance for the French clubs 2-1 defeat at home to Toulouse this weekend.

Despite enduring some what of a difficult summer in South Africa with his national side, Gourcuff has been on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs in recent times, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and City rivals Manchester United all tracking the 24 year old.

Although speculation around a move to a top four Premier League club has lessened in the last few months, it is believed City are ready to swoop in and make yet another big money move as they look to mount a title challenge this campaign.

It’s a miracle! Manchester City are putting three players up for sale – players who evidently have no future in Roberto Mancini’s title challenge season. Probably because it's like a big family at Everton, everyone whose ever played for us says what a great atmosphere there is and how the team is always really tight Don't get that very much these days.

I just hope Peanut isn't trying to hold us to ransom and wants the same money as Mikky, he's not worth it, I'd pay him 50/60k a week tops in a new deal. Having said that I do hope he signs soon, he's been a great player for us.
