It wouldn’t matter to me in the bigger picture, but I have to say, I have learned a lot about life since joining TIBB.
SD can look more hostile than it really is, but a lot of it is just banter.
I really struggled when I saw the banter in other threads as I never knew if it was banter or true.
We all have the choice to make a thread on any given subject, so maybe just make more threads rather than needing new sub forums

I think talking about sex and relationships is perfectly normal on the forum.

After all there has been sex on the very show we all joined to talk about.

Imo, neither SD nor Chat are that bad. They are actually quite good all things considered.
The forum as a whole is pretty good. BB may be going wrong but the forum can evolve and stay. But only if members and staff want it to. So let's remember the positives like friends, humour and debate it gives and help it keep going.

It's all down to fake news and perception, the forum is fine, it's just people have got into a habit of blaming SD for all the forums woes and obviously people are happy to run with that as it absolves themselves of any responsibility of how they behave

No. SD is to blame for problems in SD. The chat thread is to blame for problems in the chat thread etc etc.

Stop altering what people are saying because you've taken criticism of SD so personally that you simply must defend it.

You were allowed your opinions about the modding being a problem, other people are entitled to theirs.

I'm not defensive at all, I can categorically say that I have never told anyone to go back to chat and games, and that goes for 99 per cent of SD posters as well, and if you were told that it was probably in jest

I can respond just the same as you can, no need to keep calling me defensive trying to get a rise

You are defensive. Incredibly defensive.

I haven't said you can't respond?

Trying to get a rise? No. I And many others are making their thoughts known. You didn't mind when the modding was the topic of such honesty.

You can speak on behalf of 99 per cent of SD posters? You've read and taken part in every SD discussion and seen every single post made by every single poster to come to this amazing conclusion? Everyone else is wrong because Cherie herself doesn't see a problem?

Again, it doesn't work like that.

In all the back and forth we've had you've yet to actually respond with anything concrete to what I originally posted about SD that you disagreed with so probably best to leave it there.

SD isn’t half as bad as it once used to be.

Not so long ago, there was only two talking points (Corbyn or Brexit) and the majority of those threads would all be made by a single member

But that stopped, and was replaced by people just coming in, ignoring the thread entirely and just talking about themselves and the moderators

But that simmered down, now, the most frustrating issue is that there are countless posts that are just cheerleading really. Several members wouldnt go in to discuss the thread. Theyre going in to dance and clap with emojis to their mates as if a debate is friend-thing. It used to be a lot worse than what it is now, some individuals have stopped cheerleading entirely, but others havent stopped their silliness.

Its still the least popular subforum on the website, but it is better than it used to be.

I think the numbers speak for themselves and the fact that James attached Celebrity to it as it is the most active forum speaks volumes...

No it isn’t envy lol (why are you so defensive over it), I listed several of the problems that SD has, nobody is envious over those haha. There are a lot more issues raised by other people too (trashy/unwelcoming/hostile/etc), nobody is envious of those issues either.

Tbh look at TV or parliament debates, no different from SD. People pull the same tricks. It's not SD it's human nature.

...ehm, ehm...what about lbgt subforum? maybe Maru's right and we need something different from the usual, and go love/relationships/psychology route? Hopefully there'd be less bickering there?

Using my 1000th post (go ts2, go ts2) to say again (thanks Cherie) that maybe another serious subforum where we could have more relaxed approach could take the heat off SD etc? Like Maru suggested. It doesn't have to be purely lgbt anymore, let's have relationships, psychology, lifestyle stuff in too... I don't ****ing know anymore, just something that could be accepted by a majority. And in the long run it could give a chance to a less confrontational style of discussing stuff?

People take part in most loved because it is a cute and harmless way to show others you appreciate them on the forum.

I think it's one of, if not the nicest day of the year to be on TiBB.
