It seems neither were the audience. Plus I've yet to see a QT where the audience likes the Rwanda plan. Yet the Con on the panel ignores that fact. The only bad news is all about this disgracefully incompetent hard-line governnent. |

Was it any good?
I really can't be doing with QT these days - all they do is spout a loud of bollocks to appeal to the lowest common demoninator for "their side". I mean, maybe it was always that way. But it's just so blatant and lazy now...

It was pretty dire in my view. The only thing I've been surprised by on QT in recent months us the regular criticism of the Rwanda policy of the government. No matter where they are in the UK,Labour or Con areas, there's rarely more than one of a small few who support the policy. QT has lost its way badly and sadly Fiona Bruce doesn't keep to the content of questions asked. |

(I say followup questions because the promoted ones are cultivated beforehand, when you apply you have to say what you'd ask if you could, which gives the BBC the ability to select certain questions, for whatever reasons) Even my most anti-migrant friends/relatives think the Rwanda plan is utterly stupid and too much. I don't know a single person who thinks it's a good idea. I find it hard to see what Sunak was thinking. Pro-migrant people will find the idea repulsive, so he'll have lost them more than he would anyway; anti-migrant people aren't (in general) inhuman monsters, and those who aren't totally radicalised will think it's too much.

all nonvoters, like Alf in the audience. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod...-2023-11012024 Last edited by arista; 12-01-2024 at 12:22 PM. |

It was quite a civilised debate last night.
The audience were a bit flat for ALL supposedly being undecided voters. I'd have expected stronger questioning and comeback if that was the case. Fiona Bruce maybe stuck with too many of the same members of the audience. The audience didn't really appear to have any idea of what they were really looking for that could be pinned down. |

What a bunch of smug, insufferable, self-satisfied twats they've got on today.
(Apart from the barrister bloke, don't know him, but being a barrister, he probably is...)

I'd love to know where,(the immigration issue aside).
Just where this deceit filled PM and his governnent have the support for the Rwandan policy. Week after week on QT there's only a few that tolerate it. The panellist stated even among Con voters, there were more negative to it than positive. It wasn't in the Con 2019 manifesto, Sunak wasn't even able to go through the full Con process of electing a leader. Plus he's the SECOND change of leader in only 4 years of governnent. So just where is his mandate for Rwanda? In fact for anything, since there's little remaining of the 2019 manifesto. |
