There have been some polls that have come out that show he’s making gains and that independents are swinging towards him, the democrats have raised nearly $40million since the debate, half of that coming from new, first time contributors, the panic is completely media driven, the stats show something isn’t matching what the talking heads want people to believe

There are so many agendas at play, arguments can be spun in any direction for or against removing Biden. From where i'm standing, the vote is either for or against democracy, so it really doesn't matter who the focal point of that is, its the principle that is at stake |

Biden is old, Trump is old, but he’s also a convicted felon, he’s been found liable for sexual assault, him and his family are barred from heading up charities in New York because they stole from their childhood cancer charity, he’s publicly, specifically said that he wants to be a dictator.
The kind, bumbly old man, is the obviously better choice than the elderly, life long criminal

And for once we're not talking about Hugh Hefner.

Either one of them could wake up dead tomorrow. I think a Trump presidency would be funnier (like last time) but otherwise I barely care about either.

trump has said often enough he is going to seek retribution. He has also preached hate at every turn. He wants those who committed violence and murdered police on Jan 6th set free. Double standards? Are you having a laugh?

They should remove him from that job. That Tweet would have been deleted I would think. |

I've been watching how people are reacting to this.
The first point is that the dem machine keeps going back to it was one bad debate and trump is a very bad man. What they are not acknowledging is that it wasn't a bad debate, it thrust a spotlight onto the decline of Biden and his capability to do the job and that has nothing to do with the debate or whether his opposition is a bad man. They keep saying it was a one off and that he is never normally like that. Well, no-one believes that for a second. They carefully stage manage Biden appearances. If it truly was a one off, he would have been out doing live chat shows with adhoc comments, town hall events, etc etc etc to prove it. No such events are planned. There can only be one reason for that, he isn't up to it. The dems put out polling numbers of all the main replacements were worse than Biden, but they really weren't, only maybe by a point our 2 and this was the polling before the debate. After the debate, they could easily be ahead of Biden. The dems are basically telling everyone who disagrees with their position to shut up and get behind Biden. That is a strategy that is doomed to failure. The dems are going to lose the election on the current trajectory, and it seems unlikely they are going to shift from the path unless there is a bloodbath within the democratic party to sort it out. They keep saying that Reagan and Obama had very bad first debates and still won, but both of them were miles ahead in the polls at the time, Biden was already behind in the polls. That's why it was agreed to do the debate in the first place. It was to change the course of the campaign and put Biden on a winning trajectory. You won't hear any of the dem elites saying that now The only people that Biden seems to listen to for advice are his wife and Hunter. Are they effectively running the presidency?, because that is what it implies Last edited by bots; 02-07-2024 at 07:06 AM. |

With the supreme court on Trump's side, it doesn't now even matter who "wins" the election. He will just appeal it up to the supreme court and they will side with him. So whoever ends up being the dem candidate has lost before a vote is counted

It only goes to the Supreme Court if the election ends in a tie, if (when) Trump loses the election decisively again, there will be no grounds for it to be appealed

The difference to 2020 is that if Trump loses this time he will have nothing to hang on to.

Literally no one I know is excited about this upcoming election or politics in general. It's as if most are just minding their own business and checking out of the rat race.
Trump, if he loses, wouldn't be able to do another campaign in 4 years time I don't imagine, for the simple fact he really would be too old. I don't think he has Biden's personality where he'd rather run the country living off a vent rather than to pass to someone more capable. He'd just quit and undermine his replacement in a raging (but senile) manner. Nothing really changes for me, except that one party will be in to chip away at the foundation, whether it's the Constitution or economically speaking, while the other is out of play. We never hear of a politician that believes in leaving well enough alone. Last edited by Maru; 02-07-2024 at 05:35 PM. |
