A girl who was on yesterday afternoon got the panel talking! Alyshah!
Judges explained her voice was the most unique from what they heard, however did state she had a marmite voice. Simon explained he would remember her, with her unique image and sound, and that is what the X factor is about Ayda explained she looked amazing, and has a real pop star image to go with her sound. Explained in today’s music climate being able to diversify using image and sound is so important , Ayda explained magazines would love her The ability to play her original music is what attracted her to the show. https://youtu.be/WD4cPL0Ytm4 Look forward to reality rulers review of the night session Last edited by Musicbuff90; 29-07-2018 at 09:58 AM. |

Morning All,
As mentioned I was at the evening session yesterday. This was the very last audition screening. Unfortunately I only thought one was brilliant but the judges almost didn’t put him through! Was insane. Please find contestants below: Eddie (didn’t say second name) - Robbie kept calling him Lonely Eddie. Really strange. Played electric piano and also a bit of percussion. Sang an original. Audience didn’t take to it very well and he even put auto tune on his voice mid way through that I picked up on straight away, as did Louis and he mentioned it during the judges comments. You’d think that wouldn’t be allowed? However, he got through just about but it looked like it was going the other way. Golden - 3 piece girlband - 2002/Girl Crush/My Church - Acapella. Ages 18/19. Audience and Judges agreed the Ann-Marie Number was wrong for them but you could tell they had really good voices (one in particular). Then went on to do 2 country songs and did really well. Judges seemed to really like them and Robbie said he could see them going really far in the competition. 4 YES’ Joseph Daniel William Garrett Ansell? Tried my best to get his full name. Best vocal of the night IMO. Slayed Ottis Readings Try A Little Tenderness to a standing ovation from the audience. Surprisingly it looked like both Robbie and Louis were going to say no after the comments! Even Simon was on the fence as he didn’t know what to do with him. Ended up getting 3 YES’ with Louis saying no but definitely deserved it. Juice - 4 piece girlband - Sang don’t let go Then did 30 seconds acapella of a song (I’ll update as soon as I remember what it’s called). They were on in the afternoon session apparently and they didn’t blow the judges away so they asked them to come back. Really strange one. Didn’t go well for them at all unfortunately. One girl was far better than the rest and took the lead. Her name was Blaize China. The whole audience chanted for her to go solo at this stage it looked like they were on 3 NO’s minimum. Strangely, all of a sudden Simon changed his mind and then Robbie followed suit. Louis said no and then Ayda decided to give them a chance. Everyone seemed to think they will be swallowed up in the next round and it wouldn’t surprise me if they ended up listening to the audience and put Blaize China on her own... Venus Decrease? - sorry really forgot the second part of their name. This was the part where we had stewards standing in front of us so I had to remember 5 names in a row. Sang Crying In The Club - Aged 16-20 and a 3 piece girlband. All over the place unfortunately. They went on about how they want to bring a Latin influence but only one could slightly sing, harmonies were all off and the stage was far too big for them. Judges agreed. 4 NO’s. Harry (didn’t say surname) - Original - Glory Days. Sang about one of his best friends who passed away last year. Good song writer but voice was far more suited to a band. Judges hinted about it too. They are Definitely planning on putting some bands together, I can confirm. 4 YES’ Martin Wilkinson - Jass singer - Feeling Good & Then My Way - Thought he was ok. But if a Michael Buble tribute and judges agreed. However, after he kept getting stopped the audience didn’t stop booing. He then got 3 NO’s and the audience didn’t stop chanting bring him back - by this point the next contestant was on the stage! Judges didn’t change their mind though. I personally think it was the right decision. Handles - Was on a previous audition showing (pretty sure I’ve seen him posted on here somewhere). Just a bit of fun. Very confident. Sang Gold Digger. Had the audience up dancing and he got 3 YES’. Rapper and I think the song choice definitely helped. Sister Duo - Only heard them say their names - Sunshine and Raya - yes it’s true. Sang two originals and said they do a lot of carnivals and bring their African /Caribbean vibes. After their first original went down like a tonne of bricks, Simon asked them to sing a song we all know because the audience didn’t take to their original. They didn’t bring one even though Rihanna was on their list which Louis pointed out. They then had to do another Original and Simon stopped them saying he couldn’t listen to their voices anymore. Shambles but they took the criticism well. 4 NO’s. Bradley Whitedale - 34 - Hero by Mariah Carey. Came third on Greece X Factor in 2016! Also said he was on the UK X Factor in 2011 (when Simon wasn’t on it) as Simon recognised him. However, he loved telling the audience that he was a professional singer and how he’s been struggling with bronchitis. This lead to boo’s before he even started singing as he didn’t stop going on about it all. He sang Hero for his biological father who passed away 2 weeks ago. - 4 YES’. Wasn’t a bad rendition but left the audience flat and judges didn’t seem too excited. Kieran Harrison - 21 I think? - Initially was the third act of the night and sang Tennessee Whiskey. Came out in a blazer, shirt, jeans and shoes and judges were already joking amongst themselves saying he was going to sing a Michael Buble song which he joked he was but then changed his mind. Tennessee Whiskey didn’t go anywhere but his voice had potential. They asked him to come back and he ended up closing the entire arena auditions. ^ Then came back and did Angels by Robbie Williams and then went into One Direction. Initially he came in on the wrong note to Angels so Robbie got up and started him off. He joined in on the chorus too and started harmonising with him When One Direction kicked in, the audience went even more crazy and all 4 judges got on the stage and were clapping along! They all got back to their seats and unanimously said yes and said they were feeling generous and it was the last audition so they didn’t even go to a proper vote. How it all panned out and the song choices he made were a genius idea to get him through. Could also see him going into a boy band as what I can see from here, the boys seem really strong this year. I was front row side on to the stage so was really hard to keep getting my phone out as they were a lot more strict with it than previous years. People were actually getting escorted out of the venue because they weren’t listening. However, I’m pretty sure I got everyone. I’m glad all the other days seem to have had some real talent as I’m not sure how far any of these will go. Judges didn’t seem to favour any particular act to be honest. Probably Golden have the most potential and the judges didn’t hesitate to put them through so they would be the best bet of making it to the live shows in my opinion. Hope this helps!
