Not to put a downer of things but in the lead up to my mum's death she was occasionally screaming in terror at the monsters perched in the upper corners of her hospital room. So either she was unfortunately headed downstairs rather than into the arms of baby jesus... or it was just hallucinations caused by the buildup of toxins in her system due to liver and kidney failure.

So, on that note, Grandpa, thank you for your service, your dedication to Granny, and for always being yourself. You will be sorely missed, but always remembered—by the nation and the world.
