AI is not meaningfully intelligent and still isn't even close. I don't know what the motivation for the lies is but... They are lies.

Current AI is programming, statistics and mimicry. It doesn't think, it doesn't have motivation, it doesn't do anything at all without input.

Not to go all "tin foil hat" but that certainly applies to consumer level AI, but who knows what governments and tech moguls have access to.

Its "Not A Bot" subscription method aims
to reduce spam, manipulation of the
platform and bot activity.

He has also tried to woo advertisers back
to X with offers of discounts.

including mass layoffs and disbanding content
moderation teams,
has led to advertisers halting ads
on the service.

Super fake. It's AI but meant to mimic traditional oils. Like 100s of hours of glazing and scumbling. It's possible to make portraits like this that look very photorealistic. You can tell because a real camera would have a focus/focal point that is uniformly from one plane in the foreground to the background and that sharp<->softer look would be consistent with the physical characteristics of the lens, whereas with oils, people would mimic that hard to soft edge look to give it a sense of realism than a realistic depth, if that makes sense. The softened edges around all their facial features are artistic and too soft in foreground areas to be legitimate.
