Nah, I think your idea that she and Dermot are away together on a well-deserved break is a far more plausible explanation.

It was not that Amy was in enemy hands, but that we may have one of these in our midst

Certain investigations needed to be done. Our report has now been filed with central command awaiting further action.

No one (apart from certain operatives and yours truely) was above suspicion, which was why Kaz had to be kept out of the loop.
