After failing their first task, Caleb felt a huge deal of responsibility and guilt. Although he would still have had to have sent two others to possible death had he passed, his conduct during the task had fallen into question and left him looking like, as arista might say, a Punk Bitch.

For his failure he was escorted by security to the large grey building at the east wing of the compound:



Cracked windows and metal shutters gave the impression that this had only recently been neglected, which settled Caleb somewhat given the nature of some of the other destinations he'd heard or seen of. He stepped in through the doors underneath the shelter and got his torch out.

Sam however was taken to the industrial plant directly to the back of Caleb's destination. It was considerably uglier than Caleb's building and was littered with dead leaves and fallen beams - Sam wasn't even entirely sure it was safe to enter, but upon looking back towards the guard he was left with little choice to enter.



Inside there was a great deal of complex-looking yet rusty machinery.



Taking care to avoid tripping over a broken pipe, Sam took his torch out and began looking for clues.

Since the office he was in was littered with old filing cabinets and desks, Caleb was in the process of routinely opening each drawer he could find, making a mental note of those he had already checked. He could hear nothing nearby, which he took to be a good sign, and was being careful to watch his step should he trigger any unwanted booby traps.

In the far right corner of the first floor Caleb noticed a safe.



It was already open, and cautiously, Caleb approached it. Inside was a single sheet of paper, with bright red writing.

The dank, mouldy smell from inside the production floor was foul, and although he didn't exactly know what had been made here, he knew it wasn't of the cosmetic variety. He walked up some stairs and found a narrow walkway that led over the machinery to some control panels - and in the distance he thought he could make out a keychain hanging from one of the knobs.

He walked over the iron walkway and came to the station only to find it was an identity card from one of the former workers. As he picked it up the factory lit up and some of the machines begun to operate, with gears and cogs slowly finding their way back into their routine. As he turned around to see who'd done it, he was bashed in the head with a lead pipe.

Falling to the floor unconscious, Sam was cruelly kicked and shoved by the killer's feet onto the edge of the walkway, and with a final heave he toppled over the side into one of the machines. The killer loitered around for a little to see Sam's body twisted and mangled before walking away whistling.
