1st 2nd or third hl show for her self diagnosis, she told some hms she had adhd,( to explain herself going off for some time alone) and then told them she thinks she also has some autistic traits.

Part of BB is the dressing up, mixing with people you wouldn't normally meet in real life and embracing the challenges and turmoil the show brings. Her having a PHD and highlighting that was just another thing she made about herself. Similar to how her and Marcello did the flower task had good fun doing it and then she had to mention toxic masculinity in the DR. Marcello looked down after that comment and it wasn't needed at all.

Its not something she just made up for conversation or convenience ..

The producers knew all about her issues-sadly they gave her no protection

This is it exactly.

I am not sure why this is even still being debated. Some doctors talking about what AuHDH is has nothing to do with it.

"So, I am diagnosed with ADHD. Especially for women who had ADHD there tends to be some autistic traits as well"

The truth is that ADHD can share traits with autism, so this is not a surprise.

"Autism is very distinct from ADHD, but the core symptoms of ADHD... would appear to also be features of autism. ASD and ADHD are neurobiological disorders characterized by similar underlying neuropsychological “deficits”.

So Ali isn't lying in saying that she has some of the same traits as seen in autism, she isn't lying when she says that she is neurodivergent, but stating that she is "on the spectrum for autism" is the self diagnosed part as she is stating that without being clinically diagnosed as being autistic, only having been diagnosed for ADHD.

Ali has a carefully constructed and well-practised way of delivering the information in order to lead the listener to a given conclusion though and so many have jumped on that and hoisted her up as the poster child mascot for autism for whatever personal reason they have.

But, whatever the case is, I will repeat... An explanation is not an excuse and people with ADHD can also be dicks. Too many these days use the presence of mild autistic traits as a shield for bad behaviour.

Slight tangent

I can only speak for myself and explain that if I am in a group situation for any length of time my stress levels increase unbearably and I put some distance between myself and the others without them knowing ( another stress) … then I start processing things and even overthinking the situation - at that time I must appear rude as I don’t always hear if someone says something or asks me a question.
I’m not being rude though - just kinda zoned out ..

It’s extremely difficult and exhausting being like this … and it wasn’t a life choice either

Not an excuse just an explanation

I wish people would just cut her some slack - she will have loads of coping mechanisms/ strategies in the outside world.. sadly none of them are available to her in the house PLUS the BB experience is incredibly demanding for ‘normal’ people so she deserves recognition for just surviving this long !!

the normally quietly speaking ali surprised me calling out loudly 'we love you' when dean left....................

her 'queer pyramid' becoming rather one dimensional.......................

People keep bringing up Ali's condition , and ok I get it ...but at the same time she agreed to be on the show. And she's not a child, and she's in the same boat as everyone else...her mind just functions a little differently, and same with her behaviour & social cues.

She isn't the only housemate who's had a condition similar to that ,and she is not ill . So I think it's kind of ' kid glove ' mentality to keep treating her like she's some fragile piece of glass ,but I will say there has been a sense of tip toe feeling. But at the moment she seems to be getting involved more ,and not analysing as much ...which is definitely a better way to go about things.

Through BB history , there's been every type of inclusive housemate...who has had to deal or struggle with their own issues & problems.

Controversially ,some previous housemates should never have been put in BB . So I wouldn't say Ali's condition is anywhere near that severe. She's obviously still managing to cope .

There's been questionable decisions in who has been let in the BB house in the past , and whether or not they passed a psych test or not . The vulnerability of individuals have actually been exploited .

But hopefully today is a little better, when people's mental health is concerned. I would like to think and hope BB has a care team at hand to help housemates,if they are finding it too stressful or difficult to process , I assume there's something in place to support them.
