I agree that everyone is and should be entitled to their own opinion but respect is something that is earned and how can you be expected to respect the beliefs of someone else that you find completely disgusting ?

It is ignorant of him but you can't want freedom of speech for gay rights, equal rights for women and men, and stuff like that and then stamp down hard on someone for just saying that being gay is immoral.

Now if he had attacked a gay person in the house then I would say throw him out, but at the end of the day words are words, they only can harm you to a certain extent.

In all honesty Sam I'm really bored of these petty, juvenile digs at my age which for a start are actually factually incorrect, but they're also pretty unnecessary. For a man of your age I thought you'd be able to refrain from engaging in such needless behaviour. Why you can't reply to my posts without feeling the need to insult me is beyond me to tell you the truth, you ask and expect people to respect people that are older than them yet you are always the one that throws digs at me? I'm tired of it to be honest, you should be above that. But oh well.

You've just said I'm almost back from my paper round and I'm afraid kids these days have them at around 13/14, I'm almost 19, so...five years is quite a difference.

Personally I think that Evander was completely in the wrong. He is entitled to his opinion, yes, and Luisa also did bring up the subject, but she tried to stop him many times, even before he actually said anything, when she realized that he might say something offensive. He was warned by her, but still proceeded to say it despite that because he wanted to express his opinion. So to me this whole "well, Luisa brought up the subject so he has a right to respond" isn't valid because she quickly tried to bury the conversation and even warned him that it was on TV. But he didn't care, so he deserves all this hate he's getting.

Also on a side note, I am an American and I had no clue that the word "handicapped" was offensive to disabled people and he most likely didn't either.
