Watching the Newcastle v Liverpool game live, it is now 2-0 Liverpool after 36 minutes, but it could and should be 10-0!!!!
This could be the premier leagues biggest ever win, Newcastle look that bad and Liverpool look so good its a rout

Solid performance, and well deserved win. Nice that we even got to play a few 2nd team players to get them a bit of experience too.

Excellent game, best I've seen us play for a long time- and we didn't even need our two main strikers for it.Let's hope Fulham keep up a good defensive record up now against Chelsea. |

Ricardo Fuller sent off for fighting with his own captain Andy Griffin, which in turn has involved several fights and arguments between Stoke team 'mates' ... so much for the respect campaign these lot cant't even respect there own club players

Great game today. Listened to half of it in the car coming back from my sisters and watched the rest at home. Liverpool are now 3 points clear at the top of the prem.

Another poor performance from my team today rightly booed off after a lack lustre 0-0 draw at home to Swansea, and a player sent off also.
Promotion to the premier league is looking like a pipe dream at the moment

Martin Laursen (Aston Villa)
Glen Johnson (Portsmouth) Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd) Jamie Carragher (Liverpool) Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd) Gael Clichy (Arsenal) Were all nominated for Sky Sports Defender of the year, last I saw Carragher has over 50% of the votes, not sure if voting has closed yet. I think Carra and Terry are definitely the best, but Terry has been getting too many cards this season. |

Another win for Villa, not really deserved but it gets me 2 points in the prediction game and I get a few points from Luke Young on the fantasy game for a clean sheet, so I'm happy with that. Terrible referee too.

The January transfer window opens on New Year's Day, giving clubs their first opportunity to buy or sell players since the end of August.
Several deals have already been agreed, including Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra's £20m move to Real Madrid, and can be rubber-stamped from 1 January. This year's window has been extended until 1700 GMT on Monday 2 February because 31 January falls on a Saturday. A record £150m was spent by Premier League clubs in January 2008. But that figure could be eclipsed this season if, as expected, Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is given major funds to strengthen his squad by his club's billionaire Arab owners. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has underlined his desire to sign new players, and has already had a bid of around £6m rejected for West Ham striker Craig Bellamy. But teams such as Manchester United and Chelsea insist they will not be buying and others, like Pompey and the Hammers, may be forced to sell some of their stars to balance the books. Wigan are keen to keep hold of England striker Emile Heskey, who is out of contract in the summer, while Newcastle striker Michael Owen and his Magpies team-mate goalkeeper Shay Given are also in demand. |

![]() I predict: Zaki signs for Chelsea. Man City pull in another big signing. Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal sign nobody. |

City sign Bridge:
Manchester City have agreed an undisclosed fee with Premier League rivals Chelsea for England defender Wayne Bridge. City boss Mark Hughes confirmed the deal on Friday and it is thought the club could pay up to £12m for Bridge. Utd sign Serbian duo: Manchester United have completed the signings of Serbian pair Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic from Partizan Belgrade. Left-winger Tosic and midfielder Ljajic arrive at Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee although reports claim a combined figure of £16.3m. |
