the fieldlab test events seem to be working

majority testing negative before and after the event

just between 1-3 people with symptoms but sometimes not from the event itself

so far we've tested with football matches, music concerts, stand up comedy

so our biggest test will be ESC which has more global attention (also not known if people have to pay for tickets or if they are treated as test subjects free entrance)

The World Health Organization (WHO) has criticised the rollout of coronavirus vaccines in Europe as being "unacceptably slow". EU bungling at its finest

Only 16% of the EU's population has so far received a dose of vaccine.

yeah so, everyone is different into the vaccine rollout approach

i happily want to criticize the WHO now for their lacklustre investigation in China, failing to find the origins of covid-19

Way too slow, they won't see results for ages if they carry on like this.

New rules to help pubs, cafes and restaurants reopen outdoors safely in England on 12 April have sparked anger from industry groups.

All customers will have to sign in on entry, not just one member of the group like before. It is also unclear whether payment at the bar will be permitted.

UK Hospitality said it would burden struggling pubs and staff and risk customers deciding not to go out.

The BBC has contacted the Cabinet Office for a comment.

Under the new guidance, every customer aged 16 and over will have to check in to NHS test and trace before entering a venue, or give their contact details to staff.

Pubs and restaurants must take "reasonable steps" to stop people who won't comply from coming in, or they could face fines.

In a joint statement, UK Hospitality, the British Beer & Pub Association and the British Institute of Innkeeping said the rules would add "more confusion and inconvenience for customers and staff".

They also warned if indoors payments were not permitted from 12 April, then some pubs, particularly in rural areas with poor broadband, would be unable to take payments at all.

And they warned that with the government also considering if "proof of immunity" should be another requirement for entry, "millions" of people could be put off going to pubs and venues at a time when the hospitality industry is struggling.

"Government has promised the country that we will be reopening but we are now being told that this will be with our hands tied behind our backs," the groups said in a joint statement.

"Pubs will already be trading at a loss when they reopen with all the existing restrictions and Covid-secure measures in place. Adding further disproportionate and discriminatory measures threatens the very survival of thousands of businesses."

Hospitality businesses have been hit particularly hard by lockdown closures and restrictions.

Thousands in illegal Brussels outdoor party as April Fools prank runs completely out of hand
Thousands of people, mainly youngsters, flocked to the Ter Kamerenbos park in Brussels on Thursday afternoon to attend a so-called festival, staging an illegal party. The "La Boum" festival had been announced on social media, but it turned out to be a joke for the occasion of April Fools' Day earlier this week. Despite this, many youngsters seized the opportunity to come together at the site to stage a party. Police had to deploy water cannons to disperse the crowd. Watch the first footage here.

A young man told the VRT that "we are sick of all those rules. We just want to live again." Things ran out of hand around 5 p.m. Police were at the site, but the crowd was too big to be controlled. When the youngsters refused to go home, the atmosphere got hostile. Party-goers hurled any objects they could find at the police, who deployed the water cannon and charged into the crowd with horses.

Strict corona restrictions still apply in Belgium as we are heading into a third wave. Hospitals can hardly cope with the influx of new corona patients, businesses have to close as a result of the restrictions, and concerts and other events have been cancelled to avoid that too many people would come together.

Those who refuse the vaccine should be made to isolate but those who have followed the rules and are now protecting themselves and others by being vaccinated should be able to regain their freedom.

[Travel from the Philippines, Pakistan, Kenya
and Bangladesh will be banned from 04:00 BST on 9 April,
as the countries are added to the UK government's red list.

Nearly 40 countries are currently
on the red list
and nations can be added
to the list with just a few hours' notice.]

I don't mind the vaccine passports, to be honest.
People who can't get vaccinated can get a test instead.
I think that could work.
